The 133,000-square-foot cultural center, composed of new structures and rehabilitated historic buildings, includes the 303-seat Main Stage Theatre, nine art galleries, and the SciDome planetarium. The Children’s Museum exhibits “The Robot Zoo” of animal robots and the Live Animal Gallery, which includes a 2,500-gallon saltwater marsh touch pool and several individual enviroscapes with animals such as alligators and pythons. It is located in downtown Rocky Mount.
